Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings, including residential homes, nursing homes, and community-based programs.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document accurately.
- Monitor and record vital signs as required.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings.
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, healthcare, or direct support is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to follow written instructions and document accurately.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
