The Therapy Staffing Coordinator is responsible for daily administrative patient processing functions for the Therapy department. Your service-oriented mindset and attention to detail protects regulatory compliance, supports on-time billing, and helps patients receive the therapy they need.
In This Role, You Will
- Own the therapy pipeline—manage intake, scheduling, payer authorizations, and discharges, ensuring every step meets Texas home-health regulations, HIPAA, and payer requirements.
- Guard chart accuracy by securing physician orders, tracking recerts, and flagging missing documentation before it becomes a problem.
- Monitor eligibility daily and collaborate with the Eligibility team for quick resolutions.
- Deliver weekly dashboards—pending intakes, scheduled visits, outstanding orders, SOC status, and authorization denials—with clear journal notes for follow-up.
- Support billing success by providing data to dispute payer denials or justify write-offs.
- Jump in for teammates—cover tasks when colleagues are out, contribute in weekly huddles, and take on special projects as the department evolves.
- Foster great relationships with therapists, patients, families, and community partners—always professional, always solutions-focused.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in healthcare administration or home-health preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational abilities
