What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Cashier position at Angelo's Italian Restaurant?
We’re a family-owned Italian restaurant that’s been part of the community since 1969, and we’re looking for a part-time Server/Cashier to join our team. If you’re friendly, dependable, and enjoy a fast-paced environment (and great food), you’ll fit right in. We pride ourselves in providing amazing service to our guests, which is why we are looking for a server who can bring excellent people skills, attentiveness, and positivity to our restaurant.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Greet customers warmly and make them feel welcome, whether they’re dining in or calling in.
- Answer phones, take orders, and stay on top of incoming takeout orders on our Square POS system.
- Handle cash and card transactions, including giving correct change.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, including alcoholic drinks (checking IDs as required).
- Maintain cleanliness of all guest and server/cashier areas.
- Restock server/cashier stations and supplies as needed.
- Prepare simple items like side salads and soups to support the kitchen.

Requirements
- 18 years or older preferred.
- Food Handler’s Card.
- Alcohol Certification (ABC RBS).
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Availability to work weekdays and weekends as needed.
- Proficient on point-of-sale systems, currently Square.
- Understand importance of cash handling and accuracy of transactions.
