What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Training Program Aide position at Angelo Learning Center?
Responsibilities:
- Be present and ready to work from 7:45am-2:15pm Monday-Friday
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to Intellectually Developmentally Disabled Adults as part of a Day Program
- Assist with activities including eating, using the restroom, crafts, reading, and more.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Monitor and manage behaviors associated with physical and cognitive impairments
- Ensure the rights and dignity of residents are respected at all times
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or GED
-BLS / CPR Certification
PREFERRED SKILLS (NOT REQUIRED):
- Previous experience in senior care, patient care, or related fields
- Knowledge of assisted living, dementia care, behavior management, nursing home, home care, or hospice care
- Familiarity with resident rights and regulations governing care facilities
