Position Summary
The Bakery Associate plays an important role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation, packaging, stocking, and merchandising of bakery products while maintaining high standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a friendly smile.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to questions or requests.
- Assist in baking, slicing, packaging, and labeling bakery products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bakery department.
- Rotate products and follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Set up displays and signage to promote products and seasonal features.
- Work as a team to meet department goals and support other departments when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, grocery, or bakery experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
