Position Summary
The Front End Manager oversees all front-of-store operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, efficient checkout processes, and a welcoming environment for shoppers. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a team of cashiers, baggers, and customer service associates while upholding company standards and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead all front-end staff, including cashiers, baggers, and customer service associates.
- Ensure fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service to create a positive customer experience.
- Train, schedule, and develop team members to maintain high service and productivity standards.
- Manage front-end operations, including cash handling, register accuracy, refunds/returns, and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor and resolve customer concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in the front-end and lobby areas.
- Partner with store leadership to support promotions, seasonal events, and store initiatives.
- Drive efficiency in labor management, reduce wait times, and ensure coverage for peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, grocery, or customer service leadership required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
