Credit Investment Analyst – Job Description

Angeles Investment Advisors, LLC is an employee-owned investment advisory firm based in Santa Monica, CA. Angeles provides investment management and advisory services to institutional clients (e.g., endowments, foundations, pension plans, and select high net worth clients). Roles and Responsibilities

Angeles seeks a person to conduct manager research and evaluate direct co-investments primarily in credit (coverage to include direct lending, stressed/distressed credit, asset-based finance, etc). The analyst will also contribute to the broad private markets team, including private equity and real assets.

• Manager Research: Source, interview, and evaluate new investment managers for Angeles fund portfolios. Provide written meeting documentation and notes on research meetings summarizing the thesis and next steps. 
• Co-Investment Analysis: Assist the research team in the review of direct investment opportunities.
• Portfolio Management: Assist the investment team in the management of portfolios.
• Portfolio monitoring and management: Conducting regular updates with investment managers, assessing results and continued suitability for Angeles portfolios.
• Business and Operational Review: Assist with operational due diligence on investment managers.
• Investment Committee: Present findings and analysis to Angeles’ investment committee.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a college degree and 2-5 years of work experience. Experience with credit investments and strategies preferred.  Candidates must be proactive, detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and have a passion for financial markets and investing. Strong verbal, writing, and analytical skills are required, as well as strong proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Compensation

Compensation range is $120K -$150K and is based on experience. Health and profit-sharing benefits, and discretionary annual bonus included.
