The Environmental Services employee is responsible for maintaining the building upkeep including housekeeping of the Administration building and the Care Center. They work independently within the department in coordinating duties, inspects and corrects areas requiring upkeep, responds to inquiries or requests, and takes an active part in the laundry operations as needed. OTHER DUTIES
- Complies with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements in accordance with federal, state and organizational policies
- Fulfills the obligation of requested and/or accepted assignments
- Supports department operations as directed as well as being assigned special projects
- Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the position, but which may be altered based upon the need of the organization
- Meets on-going requirements to maintain requirements per Federal/State or other regulatory guidelines
- Participates in efforts and initiatives to promote growth and longevity of the organization within your departmental scope
- Performs other duties as directed by the President/CEO, Environmental Services Supervisor or other assigned designee

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The position requires sitting and standing for long periods. The position is also exposed to infectious diseases and requires lifting regularly. It also requires bending, stooping, turning and twisting on a regular basis. They require the ability to operate a computer, phone and other office equipment as needed. Manual dexterity is also required to perform tasks including computer tasks. |

This is a position in a hospice care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Scheduled regular, additional and holiday shifts as well as work during inclement weather will be required. |
