Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Aide to join our team in providing exceptional support to residents in a personal care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals. This role involves assisting residents with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to residents, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents by following established cleaning protocols and safety procedures.
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to management promptly.
- Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to individual needs and preferences.
- Provide first aid as needed and maintain knowledge of emergency procedures within the facility.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare systems and protocols is advantageous.
- Certification in First Aid or CPR is a plus but can be obtained after hiring if necessary.
