Angel Reach is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the generational cycle of abuse, neglect, and homelessness. Our mission is to equip aged-out foster youth and homeless youth (16-24) to live independently while also providing critical services and support to relatives striving to keep children out of the foster care system. Started in 2004, Angel Reach has grown to operate multi-service centers and housing units, serving an expanded population group. We are committed to helping children and youth achieve their full potential despite the obstacles they face.
This is a full-time on-site role for a Resident Advisor at Angel Reach, located in Willis, TX. The Resident Advisor will be responsible for providing support and guidance to residents, ensuring a safe and positive living environment, assisting residents with daily tasks and responsibilities, coordinating activities and programs, and facilitating conflict resolution. Furthermore, the Resident Advisor will collaborate with other staff members to deliver comprehensive services and support to the residents.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in conflict resolution and crisis management
- Ability to provide guidance and support to youth
- Organizational and multitasking skills
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends
- Experience in a residential or similar setting is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in social work, psychology, or a related field is beneficial
