Schedule
- Start: June – August (Summer Program)
- Continuation: Opportunity to continue through the full academic year
- Hours: Approximately 3–10 hours per week
- Schedule: Flexible; includes some weekday evenings and weekends
Responsibilities
- Develop and follow a structured dance curriculum for each semester
- Prepare and execute lesson plans for assigned classes
- Teach in-person ballet classes across multiple levels (beginner to advanced)
- Train students in various ballet techniques and styles
- Lead warm-ups, flexibility training, and strength conditioning exercises
- Manage classroom logistics including attendance, transitions, and student flow
- Choreograph and rehearse routines for recitals and dance competitions
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and engaging learning environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Dance or formal training from an accredited dance school
- Minimum 2 years of professional teaching experience (recreational and advanced levels)
- Experience teaching children ages 5–12
- Strong knowledge of ballet technique, alignment, and conditioning
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Must have U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience choreographing for performances or competitions
- Ability to teach multiple age groups and skill levels
- Background in flexibility training, conditioning, or injury prevention
