Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and maintaining a positive attitude while interacting with passengers.
Duties
- Safely operate a van or shuttle vehicle to transport passengers to designated locations.
- Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained and clean before and after each trip.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safe driving practices.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and any incidents that may occur.
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Collaborate with dispatchers to coordinate schedules and routes effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Van Driver, Shuttle Driver, Delivery Driver, or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with school bus driving or paratransit services is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience operating larger vehicles such as limousines or buses is advantageous but not mandatory.
