HOME BASED 8/6 Schedule
Job Duties
- Perform duties assigned to Flight Respiratory Therapist.
- Function as active member of the Neonatal Specialty Care Team
- Provide specialized nursing care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonatal to geriatric.
- Monitor and assess the health status of patients throughout transport, including vital signs, respiratory function, and neurological development.
- Administer treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians and/or standing orders
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples for laboratory testing
- Assist with procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and ventilator management
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records systems
Qualifications
- Live within 1 hour of a Major Airport in the Continental United States
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Neonatal ICU
- Additional experience with adult and geriatric population preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Proficiency in medical documentation systems
- Experience with patient assessment and monitoring
- Ability to perform venipuncture and administer injections
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements
- BLS Certification (Required)
- ACLS Certification (Required)
- PALS Certification (Required)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (Preferred)
- S.T.A.B.L.E (Preferred)
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice
- Valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist
- RRT-NPS and/or RRT-ACCS (Preferred)
