Angel Kids Pediatrics is seeking a Certified Lactation Consultant.
Job summary:
Conduct assessments of mothers and infants at high risk of breastfeeding complications. Counsel and provide patients with solutions to problems such as insufficient weight gain. Develop and provide breastfeeding information for patients.
Provide Angel Kids Pediatrics patients with up-to-date information regarding breastfeeding. Provide breastfeeding education, both one-on-one and in group settings, to discuss the advantages of breastfeeding, educate mothers on medical or other problems that might be encountered during nursing, and explain the nutritional needs of nursing women and babies. Plan, teach and lead classes for expectant and new breastfeeding mothers.
Manage patient queue and follows-up with patients by phone and continue to monitor breastfeeding progress for mother and infant.
Requirements: International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant Certificating required. Minimum of two years of experience working as Lactation Consultant in a newborns/family setting or in maternal-child nursing.
