Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment using skills in welding, electrical work, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose problems.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices to test electrical circuits and components.
- Manage facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry, plumbing, and general upkeep.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems to ensure smooth manufacturing or building operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise or assist with team members during complex repair projects while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and professionally.
- Support manufacturing operations by ensuring machinery is functioning efficiently with minimal downtime.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles within manufacturing or residential environments.
- Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting circuits and working with schematics.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in welding, carpentry, plumbing, or general repair work.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is highly desirable.
- Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is a plus.
- Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters confidently.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
