What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Contract Teacher position at Angel Guardian Inc?
Implement and monitor progress of training plans for students receiving Special Education Services through community school districts, aged 18 to 21 years of age. Support students while on the worksite and provide training in a classroom setting. Job Duties (not limited to):
- Develop and maintain classroom curriculum that focuses on employment readiness for students attending Work-Based Learning.
- Make sound decisions in dealing with the day-to-day activities of participants.
- Conduct weekly classroom sessions at designated training locations.
- Assist with professional development and staff training.
- Provide support, training, and coverage when necessary to TeamWorks Skills Trainers and sites.
- Ensure that participant records are maintained in an organized and legible manner in accordance with AGI policy and procedures and Department of Education standards.
- Educate and communicate with site staff to maintain positive relationships.
- Must be able to travel in the Omaha metropolitan area to various training sites.
- Ensure participants gain skills that will assist them in employment.
- Ensure program outcomes, measures and documentation meet or exceed AGI policies and procedures and Department of Education requirements.
- Meet or exceed performance expectations as defined in the Program Evaluation efficiency, effectiveness, and satisfaction measures.
- Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position.
- Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants.
- Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
- Personal Assistance: Ability to assist individual in activities of daily living as well as related job tasks.
- Lifting / Physical Demands: Able to lift 50 or more pounds frequently.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Nebraska state-issued teaching certificate or license with special education endorsement required.
- Prior experience with curriculum development preferred.
- Five or more years’ experience in human services, rehabilitation or educational setting preferred.
