About the Position
You will oversee comprehensive bookkeeping functions, reconcile accounts, prepare financial reports, and support budgeting and analysis. This position also includes administrative responsibilities and interaction with clients, vendors, and team members.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Accounting
- Manage full‑cycle bookkeeping including payroll and bank reconciliations.
- Enter, maintain, and reconcile financial records in QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in journal entries and account analyses.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other GAAP‑compliant reports.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and ensure consistency across all subsidiary ledgers.
- Support payroll processing and related tax filings, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations.
- Assist with budgeting, account analysis, and month‑end close procedures.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and other financial tools.
- Ensure timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and tax‑related documentation.
- Support internal audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations of account activity.
- Perform double‑entry bookkeeping to maintain the integrity of financial data.
Administrative Support
- Organize documents, maintain accurate records, and support general office operations.
- Answer phones, greet clients, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Hands‑on QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience — REQUIRED
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, debits/credits, and double‑entry bookkeeping.
- Experience with A/P, A/R, reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Payroll calculations and payroll tax experience.
- Sales tax preparation or filing experience.
- Background in small business, professional services, or multi‑client bookkeeping.
- 10‑key proficiency and strong data‑entry accuracy.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and tax compliance procedures.
- Income tax preparation experience preferred.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
