About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Care Aide to provide in-home support to clients, including elderly adults and individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have prior caregiving experience and a strong commitment to promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
- Support mobility and transfers using safe techniques/equipment
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean environment
- Monitor client conditions and report changes to the care team
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or outings
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience with elderly adults and/or individuals with developmental disabilities
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Home Care Aide certification
- Ability to pass a background check
- Authorized to worked
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for caregiving
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Preferred Skills
- Experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or behavioral support plans
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment/mobility aids
- Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply
