Angel Armor exists to protect and preserve the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness for First Responders and their families. We are seeking a passionate, high character creative to koin our rapidly grown, fast-paced team.
Industrial Designer
The Industrial Designer will work to generate new products that will build brand affinity and further diversify the Angel Armor product line. Angel Amor is looking for a creative talent with a keen ability to innovate, pays close attention to detail, embraces technology, and has an uncanny ability to revolutionize and render amazing designs for even the humblest of products.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and design innovative body armor solutions.
- Conduct and participate in robust design and consumer research (focus groups, user surveys, materials, ergonomics, and emerging technologies) to stay at the forefront of design trends in law enforcement equipment.
- Create detailed sketches, 3D models, and prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts.
- Design 2D garment patterns and cut files used by development and production.
- Work closely with production team to ensure design feasibility, manufacturing efficiency is being achieved both in soft goods and hard goods.
- Cut, sew, and refine prototypes based on usability testing with local and national participants; ensuring the consumer need is met.
- Creation of production documents (i.e. tech packs and manufacturing instructions) using but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance in product designs.
- Assist Marketing and Sales teams: product training, social media promotional materials, product photography and videography.
- Travel is required to manage and communicate with vendors and/or testers on new product designs.
- Explore new product categories through advanced concept development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
- Extensive experience in soft goods construction, pattern making, sewing, materials, and soft/hard good manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding in design software such as SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite, and pattern making software such as Optitex, CLO or Gerber AccuMark.
- Highly refined 2D concept sketching ability mixed with strong 3D visualization skills. Excellent communication and ability to collaborate effectively within a team while wearing many hats in the company.
- Highly developed ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced, creative environment.

Additional Information
Compensation Range $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually
