Role Description
Angel Aerial Systems is seeking a full-time, on-site Drone Assembly & Flight Test Technician based in the Cincinnati, Ohio area (Evendale). In this role, you will build and fly real systems used by first responders and national security teams, taking drones from assembly through flight-ready validation. You will work hands-on across mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems, ensuring every unit meets performance and reliability standards before deployment.
What You’ll Do
- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of drone systems
- Support printed circuit board (PCB) assembly and integration
- Build and assemble battery packs and power systems
- Execute final system integration, calibration, and checkout
- Conduct flight testing and system validation
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support diagnostics and quality control
- Help improve assembly and test processes over time
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with electronics assembly, mechanical assembly, or similar hands-on technical work
- Proficiency in soldering and electronic component assembly
- Comfort operating and flying drones (recreational or professional)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, small team environment
- Willingness to take ownership and wear multiple hats
Qualifications
- FAA Part 107 license, or willingness to obtain shortly after starting
- Experience in drones, robotics, or related systems is a plus
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (engineering technology, aviation, electronics, or similar), but not required
Compensation
$25–$35 per hour, based on experience and education
