QA Analyst and Automation Specialist

The QA Analyst & Automation Specialist is a hybrid role requiring expertise in both manual and automated testing. This position ensures the quality and reliability of SaaS platforms, integrated applications and backend systems. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, hands-on automation experience and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and review business and technical requirements to ensure clarity, completeness and testability.
  

• Design, develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright (TypeScript) and Java-based automation frameworks.
  

• Execute functionality, integration, regression and performance tests across SaaS platforms, APIs and backend systems.
  

• Support and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by conducting demos, walkthroughs and stakeholder coordination.
  

• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
  

• Conduct API testing using Postman and validate backend data via SQL.
  

• Ensure compliance with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
  

• Create and execute performance testing using JMeter for UI and API load validation.
  

• Identify, document and track defects; collaborate closely with developers and product teams to ensure timely resolution.
  

• Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, automation scripts and test documentation.
  

• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, contributing to QA process improvements and best practices.
  

• Evaluate and implement new QA automation tools, AI-driven testing solutions and frameworks to enhance test coverage and productivity.
  

• Ensure comprehensive coverage of integrations, workflows and end-to-end scenarios across SaaS applications.
  

Requirements

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Java-based automation frameworks and Playwright with TypeScript.
  

• Proficient in API testing, backend data validation and performance testing with JMeter.
  

• Experience testing SaaS applications, including cross-system workflows and integrations.
  

• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools such as Git.
  

• Familiarity with MuleSoft Anypoint, OpenAPI and Swagger.
  

• Skilled with version control systems and command-line execution of test scripts.
  

• Proficient in defect tracking and test management tools.
  

• Experience with OnBase workflows and DocuSign is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  

• 5–7 years of QA experience, with strong expertise in both manual and automation testing.
  

• Proven experience in automation framework development, UAT support and SaaS platform testing.
