Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently.
- Support landscape installation projects by preparing soil, planting shrubs, trees, flowers, and installing hardscape features.
- Conduct routine groundskeeping activities like leaf removal, debris cleanup to maintain site safety and appearance.
- Identify different plant species and assist with plant health assessments; support pest management practices following safety protocols.
- Maintain irrigation systems by checking for leaks or malfunctions and ensuring proper watering schedules are followed.
- Follow all safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and power tools operation.
- Experience in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, or gardening environments.
- Ability to identify various plants, trees, and pests; familiarity with horticulture principles is a plus.
- Knowledge of pesticide management practices and safety protocols for outdoor chemical use.
- Skilled in operating lawn care machinery such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Understanding of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting techniques.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions; previous outdoor work experience is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail in landscape upkeep and hardscape installation; strong teamwork skills are essential.
