Position Overview:
We’re seeking a dedicated and client-centered Counselor to join our licensed 245G dual diagnosis chemical health program. This role plays a key part in helping clients heal and sustain recovery through group facilitation, individual counseling, and comprehensive case management.
The ideal candidate is passionate about trauma-informed care, clinically skilled, and collaborative — someone who values both structure and heart in their clinical practice.
What You’ll Do -
- Facilitate engaging and therapeutic treatment groups focused on recovery, relapse prevention, and personal growth.
- Complete comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and documentation in accordance with Minnesota 245G requirements.
- Conduct individual counseling sessions and ensure treatment plan reviews are completed on schedule.
- Provide case management and make appropriate community or internal referrals as client needs evolve.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across ANEW’s programs to support client success.
- Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Maintain accurate, timely records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Continue expanding knowledge through ongoing training in traumainformed and evidencebased practices.
What We’re Looking For -
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Licensure: Current LADC, LPCC, LICSW, or LMFT required. Dual licensure strongly preferred
- Experience: Prior clinical or residential treatment experience preferred.
- Other: Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain compliance with all applicable regulations.
