Key Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Receive, prioritize, and dispatch service requests.
- Perform additional office tasks as assigned to support daily operations.
- Communicate clear and accurate instructions to carriers, drivers or customers.
- Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, including customer interactions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operational flow and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize dispatch software and communication systems to track personnel and asset status.
- Adapt to changing schedules and priorities as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in transportation dispatching preferred but not required.
- Basic US geography/interstate highway knowledge.
- Familiar with basic DOT regulations for Hours of Service
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Detail-oriented and dependable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and dispatch software.
