Growing Anesthesia Practice in Gainesville Seeking an Experienced Bookkeeper
Established Specialty Practice, servicing several locations (Gainesville, Georgia, Braselton and Dahlonega) in the Northeast Georgia area, is seeking a detail-driven Medical Bookkeeper to manage daily financial operations with accuracy and efficiency. Start date can be immediate or after the New Year! Please note, this role is not remote or hybrid.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a challenging, multi-faceted medical environment with a strong understanding of AR, AP, and financial reporting. The Bookkeeper must be organized, have proficiency with bookkeeping and accounting principles and outstanding written and verbal communication skills. This person will help to ensures the practice’s financial health is monitored.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable
- Coordination of payroll with the outside payroll service
- Assisting in benefits administration and on-boarding of staff
- Monitoring costs of contracts and supplies
- Working closely with the Practice’s accounting firm to provide the information needed for preparation of financial statements
- Working with outside vendors including health insurance, malpractice, retirement and other representatives
- Daily and monthly balancing receipts with the billing system, banks and QuickBooks
- Working with outside vendors to ensure optimal pricing and helping to ensure that financial controls are maintained through the Practice
- Working in conjunction with the billing office
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 4-5 years of working in a bookkeeping role; highly prefer prior experience within a healthcare setting and/or an accounting firm.
- Minimum of Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Requires proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software (i.e., Sage, or similar) EMR/PM systems
- Requires moderate proficiency with Excel.
- Requires to be on-site full-time
