Credentialing Specialist
Duties:
- Review and process applications for healthcare providers to ensure compliance with managed care organization requirements
- Verify and validate provider credentials, including education, training, licensure, and certifications
- Conduct thorough background checks and screenings on providers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider information in the credentialing database
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any credentialing issues or discrepancies
- Prepare and submit credentialing reports to management as required
- Stay updated on industry regulations and changes in credentialing standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in credentialing within a managed care setting
- Strong knowledge of credentialing processes, standards, and regulations
- Proficient in using credentialing software and databases
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
