Duties
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring food preparation meets quality standards and safety regulations
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
- Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff on food safety practices, cooking techniques, and customer service expectations
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery during peak hours
- Maintain accurate records of food production, shift reports, and safety inspections
- Implement and monitor POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order accuracy and transaction management
Experience
- Proven management experience in quick service or fast food restaurants with a focus on back-of-house operations
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory control, food safety standards, and budgeting within a restaurant environment
- Supervising experience with staff training, interviewing, and team development
- Familiarity with hospitality management principles including shift management and customer service excellence
- Strong knowledge of food industry regulations and culinary best practices
- Experience working in casual dining or fine dining settings is highly desirable
