Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant PreK Teacher to join our Andy's Lil Explorers team. In this role, you will assist our lead PreK teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social/emotional skills.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies.
- Supervise children during activities, playtime, meals, rest periods, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to build strong relationships.
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and compliance with licensing regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience working with young children in classroom settings or childcare environments.
- Knowledge of classroom behavior management techniques a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and administrative staff.
- First aid and CPR certification required. Can be certified after hire.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
