Retail Security Guard (Full-Time)

$18.00/hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Security & Patrol
- Patrol assigned areas or maintain a fixed post to monitor activity
- Control access points and manage pedestrian/vehicle traffic
- Identify and report suspicious activity, incidents, or safety concerns
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and on-site incidents
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems
- Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation
- Maintain awareness of surroundings at all times
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all post orders, company policies, and safety procedures
- Maintain knowledge of emergency response protocols
- Inspect property for safety risks (fire hazards, equipment issues, etc.)
- Support loss prevention and recommend safety improvements
Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers, employees, and visitors in a professional manner
- Provide directions and support as needed
- Maintain a visible, approachable presence on-site
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stay alert and respond calmly in emergency situations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
- 18 or older
- Valid Drivers License
Preferred
- Prior security or customer-facing experience
- Familiarity with CCTV, alarms, or access control systems

The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent (GED).
- Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screen; any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
- Minimum 3 -- 6 months prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems or access computer systems.
- State Guard license is required.
