What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Software Tester position at Andworx?
Andworx is seeking a Senior Software Tester with a passion for quality assurance and testing applications to join a team supporting our Federal Government customer with a national security mission located in Washington, DC. As Senior Software Tester, you will be writing test scripts, test cases, and running tests with a focus on .NET testing working within Microsoft Azure DevOps. Additionally, you will perform integration testing and regression testing as needed. You will be working directly with developers, the customer, and various stakeholders. This an excellent opportunity to contribute to the transformation of the testing process and approach used by the team to inspire and drive innovation and automation solutions.
Please Note: This position requires 5 days per week of on-site work at our customer’s location in Washington, DC. Candidates must be within a commutable distance to the Washington, DC Metro area.
We are seeking either 1099 or W-2 candidates.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Strong knowledge of software quality assurance and testing methodologies, processes, tools, and best practices.
- Prior experience in a .NET software development environment, with experience in Microsoft Azure DevOps (previously Team Foundation Server).
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Ability to write testing scripts, with testing automation experience preferred.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written word to peers, customers, and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
- Successfully obtain and maintain a Public Trust background security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information.
- US Citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Tester, the candidate will leverage their testing experience to perform the following:
- Provide testing support of new or existing software solutions.
- Analyze and refine systems requirements to construct user stories, software test plans, test steps, and test cases.
- Execute functional tests, integration tests and regression tests.
- Work with the customer to test applications; assuring software and systems quality and functionality; integrating hardware and software components.
- Write and maintain software documentation.
- Report software defects which provide clear and repeatable steps in support of defect resolution.
- Evaluate and implement new software testing technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Support and own the full software testing lifecycle from assisting with requirements gathering through to integration and regression testing.
- Participate in an Agile development environment.
