Composites Technician

What You’ll Do

• Review blueprints and instructions
• Trim and finish each composite piece
• Inspect components to ensure they meet specifications
• Maintain equipment and tools
• Document your work according to company guidelines
• Follow all safety protocols
• You are also responsible for inspecting equipment and ensuring it is in good working condition.
• You must follow all company policies and safety guidelines at all times.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience working with composite material
• Experience working with fiberglass, carbon fiber, and other composite materials, prepreg and wet layup.
• Ability to work in a R&D atmosphere with direct instruction from lead and engineering.
• Read blueprints and build at a fast and aggressive pace.
• Background in oven operation and programming, ply cutter operation, some programming knowledge and operation and understanding of heated platten press use.
• Lamination skills of at least 5 years experience.
• Materials knowledge and storage a must, as well as vacuum bagging process and demolding parts.
• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• We work in a fast-paced environment, requiring adaptability and efficiency.
• Trapped tooling knowledge and layup is a plus
• U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
  
  

US Hourly Range

$35—$45 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
