Stu-Clerical Reg University Communications

The student writer supports the Office of University Communication by producing written content and assisting with communication-related projects. This role provides hands-on experience in public relations, journalism, storytelling, digital content and organizational communication.

Duties and responsibilities

• 
  Write clear, engaging and accurate news and feature stories for multiple platforms, including the Andrews Agenda (e-newsletter and website), local and church media outlets (such as the Lake Union Herald) and FOCUS magazine (the alumni magazine).
  


• 
  Assist with ongoing communication projects, such as data entry, content writing/uploads to the Andrews Agenda and organizing departmental records.
  


• 
  Monitor and respond to social media comments and questions in a timely and professional manner.
  


• 
  Collaborate and communicate proactively with the writing and editorial team to meet deadlines.
  


• 
  Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 
  Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, etc.) preferred.
  


• 
  Proficiency with the Google Workspace (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.)
  


• 
  Prior writing or journalism experience (classwork, blogs, or published work) a plus.
