What are the responsibilities and job description for the Terminal Manager- For Liquid Bulk Transportation Company position at Andrews Logistics?
Manage all aspects of the terminal to include hiring the best and retaining the best while operating safely and profitably.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Function as a Leader.
· Develop a professional but meaningful relationship with each driver in order to insure his/her needs are being met by the company.
· P&L Management: meeting and exceeding goals.
· Manages the facility hiring process by selecting the best qualified applicants for office staffing and driver staffing.
· Coordinates activities of operations to obtain optimum use of personnel and equipment.
· Provides a safe and efficient working environment for employees and the public.
· Communicate timely and effectively with customers
· Advocate and maintain commitment to safety by utilizing Target Zero program.
· Promote and maintain positive attitude with drivers, staff and supervisors.
· Perform all other duties as specified by Regional Operations Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
· 5 Years in Bulk Transportation management.
· Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Ability to multi-task and make informed business decision in fast moving industry.
· High level of self-motivation.
· Efficient computer skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree preferred and/or equivalent related experience in the bulk industry.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Fast-paced transportation terminal environment.
WORK HOURS AND AVAILABILITY:
Designated work location at office or terminal for an average of 45 to 50 hours per week.
