What are the responsibilities and job description for the Steel Erector Metal Building Installer position at Andrews Construction?
Andrew’s Construction is seeking skilled steel erectors with 1-2 years minimum experience erecting carports, PEMB or metal cladding as a laborer, crew lead, foreman, and/or superintendent. It is a plus if you have experience with concrete footings, digging, and concrete pouring / finishing. Experience:
- Metal Building Construction
- Carport Installation
- Metal Roofing
- Fabrication including layout, measurement, cutouts, grinding
- Concrete Footings
- Operating Equipment
- Steel Stud Framing
- Window and Door install: a plus not required
- Welding : a plus but not required
- Blueprint reading: 1 year (Preferred)
- Estimating a plus but not required
Job Requirements:
- Great Work Ethic
- Arizona Driver’s License with good MVR record
- Comfortable working in the field with little or no supervision
- Experience working in a shop assembling, fabricating and metal
- Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature
- Ability to operate different tools ( grinder, saws, drills)
- Good interpersonal and team work skills
- Ability to use mobile apps for job progress and time keeping
- Good skill set on measuring and fitting
- Must be capable of lifting 100 pounds
- Ability to handle several projects simultaneously with interruptions
- Must have reliable transportation and be on time to work each day
Shift:
- 8-12 hour shift
- Day shift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
