We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional to provide daily support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and committed to promoting independence and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients each morning with waking, dressing, meals, and preparation for daily activities (as applicable)
- Provide instruction and encouragement regarding positive health and personal habits
- Plan and lead recreational activities
- Follow approved behavioral intervention guidelines as directed by the Psychologist/IDT
- Escort clients to designated activities
- Perform routine housekeeping duties
- Assist clients in preparing for bed when assigned to applicable shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or coursework in a related field preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate, respectful support and follow established care plans
