Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive chemical dependency assessments in an outpatient setting.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on recovery and relapse prevention.
- Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment as needed.
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, case managers, and community resources to support client care.
- Facilitate client education on substance use and recovery strategies.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and continuing education.
- Current state licensure as a Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC).
- Experience working in outpatient substance use treatment preferred.
- Strong understanding of outpatient counseling techniques and relapse prevention.
- Ability to engage and motivate clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to outpatient chemical dependency treatment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Certification or training in evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, Motivational Interviewing).
