In this role, you'll provide expert guidance, support, and counseling to individuals navigating recovery-right in their communities.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive chemical dependency assessments in an outpatient setting.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that meet each client's unique needs.
- Lead individual and group counseling sessions focused on recovery, relapse prevention, and life skills.
- Track client progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with agency policies and state/federal regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, case managers, and community resources to ensure holistic care.
- Educate clients on substance use, recovery strategies, and healthy coping mechanisms.
- Participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and professional development opportunities.
- Current state licensure as a Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC).
- Experience in outpatient substance use treatment preferred.
- Strong understanding of counseling techniques and relapse prevention strategies.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to chemical dependency treatment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working with co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Certification or training in evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, Motivational Interviewing).
- Bilingual proficiency.
