Job Overview:
As a WordPress Web Developer, you will play a vital role in our Digital Media Team, designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that enhance our clients’ overall technology experience. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver who is passionate about delivering high-quality solutions in a collaborative and creative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- WordPress: Build/customize themes/plugins using APIs; create responsive, secure interfaces.
- Linux/cPanel & Domains: Manage hosting, backups, DNS, and domain transfers.
- Migrations: Execute site transfers with minimal downtime, ensuring data integrity.
- JavaScript: Write ES6 code, integrate with frameworks (jQuery, React, Vue).
- SQL: Optimize SQL queries, troubleshoot database issues.
- Documentation: Document processes, address technical debt.
- Collaboration: Work with design/admin teams, communicate updates.
Requirements:
- WordPress: Expert in core, themes, plugins, and APIs.
- Linux/cPanel: Skilled in server management, DNS, and domains.
- Migrations: Proficient in seamless site transfers.
- JavaScript: Strong ES6 , framework experience.
- SQL: MySQL optimization, database management.
- Other: PHP, HTML5/CSS3, Git; Python a plus.
- Soft Skills: Clear documentation, problem-solving, communication, and project management.
- Experience: 2-5 years in WordPress, server, and migrations.
- Education: CS degree or equivalent experience.
- Portfolio: Show custom themes/plugins, migrations.
