Responsibilities

As a Mechanic at Andrews Ag Supply, you will:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain STIHL power equipment and other small engine equipment.
  • Diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on customer farm machinery and agricultural equipment.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and seasonal service.
  • Troubleshoot gas-powered and battery-powered outdoor power equipment.
  • Assemble, inspect, and prepare new equipment for delivery and sale.
  • Safely load and unload customer equipment.
  • Complete manufacturer warranty repairs according to specifications.
  • Maintain accurate service records, repair documentation, and parts usage.
  • Communicate repairs and maintenance recommendations with customers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with parts inventory and shop organization as needed.

QualificationsPreferred Experience

  • Experience repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment, lawn and garden equipment, chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, farm equipment, or similar machinery.
  • Knowledge of two-cycle and four-cycle engines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair manuals.
  • STIHL and/or Briggs & Stratton certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of 40 hours per week. During slower seasons, employees can generally expect to work no more than 40 hours each week. During our busiest seasons, additional hours or overtime may be requested to help meet customer demand.
