Andrews Academy-Creve Coeur is currently accepting applications for a Classroom Teacher - Upper Elementary position for the current 2025-26 school year.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Demonstrates a genuine love and compassion for working with young children.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of cognitive, social, and emotional development in young children.
- Commitment to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons in English Language Arts, Math and Social Studies.
- Maintain clear and consistent behavioral expectations.
- Strong written/oral communication skills, including proactively communicating with families through newsletters, parent-teacher conferences, progress reports and spontaneous check-ins.
- Foster a collaborative and team approach within the school environment.
- Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school events.
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and/or Elementary Education.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Current and valid teacher certification.
- At least two years of experience teaching elementary grades; preferably in grades 5 or 6.
