What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at ANDREW WOMMACK MINISTRIES INC?
Position Purpose:
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical plant, the grounds, and the equipment of the AWM/Charis Facilities and its affiliates, and all other duties as assigned.
This position offers a variety of work schedules. Starting pay is commensurate with experience in any number of fields listed below:
- Carpentry
- Welding
- Landscaping
- Masonry
- Locksmith
- HVAC
- Plumbing
- Framing/drywall finishing
- Interior/exterior painting
- Electrical
- Automotive repair
- Sheet metal/fabrication
- Heavy equipment operator
- Carpet installation
- Roofing/trusses
- Information technology
- Commercial driver’s license A/B endorsements
- Operating pneumatic tools/hand tools/smaller heavy equipment
Essential Duties:
- Performs daily maintenance duties as assigned including, but not limited to, grounds keeping, assists general maintenance of the building and grounds.
- Assists with and/or completes independently building maintenance, repair, and construction projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Follows directions well.
- Self-starter and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to use a Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have the physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must sign Statement of Faith
- High school diploma or equivalent education required. A college degree in a related field is preferred
- Vocational skills, apprenticeship, or military training in some of the professional skill sets listed above is preferred
- Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
- Must pass all required checks.
Experience:
- At least one full year of professional experience in some of the skill sets listed above.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
