We are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Project Manager who wants to become part of a collaborative team focused on craftsmanship, accountability, communication, and exceptional client service.

About the Role

AV Builders is seeking an experienced Residential Construction Project Manager to lead high-end custom residential projects from pre-construction, through completion, across the San Francisco Peninsula. Reporting directly to the President, this individual will serve as a key contributor to our team and a direct representative of the company, managing homeowner and architect relationships while overseeing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, inspections, RFIs, Change Orders, and project milestones. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working autonomously while maintaining AV Builders’ standards of professionalism, communication, and execution across all phases of construction. This role requires strong experience in luxury residential construction, excellent plan-reading and field coordination abilities, proficiency with construction management software such as BuilderTrend and Bluebeam, and the ability to confidently navigate both jobsite operations and client-facing interactions throughout projects ranging from San Francisco to Atherton.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organizational, and project coordination skills
• Experience and comfortable with meeting directly with homeowners and architects while representing a General Contractor
• Minimum 10 years of experience in residential construction
• Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Project Manager for a General Contractor, preferably with ground-up and large-scale residential projects
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and review construction plans and drawings
• Comfortable working from PDF plans and digital construction documents on a daily basis; strong computer proficiency and with Microsoft word/excel is required
• Develop and manage RFIs, Change Orders, and Scopes of Work
• Proficient in construction management software such as (or similar to) BuilderTrend and Bluebeam
• Solid understanding of local building codes and construction practices across all trades
• Strong field knowledge with the ability to identify on-site issues and communicate them clearly and effectively to key individuals.
• Field work / experience strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, able to commute to project sites ranging from San Francisco to Atherton
