Job Summary
We are seeking a self motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a bus person. In this role, you will be an essential part of delivering exceptional service experiences by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with bussing tables, and supporting the overall flow of our restaurant or hospitality environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment to customer satisfaction will help create a welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensure smooth daily operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within the food industry while working in a lively, fast-paced setting. We are open Tuesday - Saturday 4 - 9pm Closed most Sundays and Mondays except for major holidays. All holidays we are open are required to work. New Years Eve, Valentines Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. We are closed the first week of July. This is a tipped position, $7 per hour plus tips. Training pay is $16 per hour
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchens, and food service stations to uphold health and safety standards
- Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Support food service operations by helping servers
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly
- Support not only normal business hours but all major holidays and events or special functions by setting up, serving, and cleaning up after events
- Follow all food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices during food handling and service
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth restaurant or hotel operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, bussing techniques, and basic food handling practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in hotel or food industry settings is a plus but not mandatory
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for providing outstanding customer service and creating positive guest experiences
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
