Andrew Pearce Bowls is seeking a motivated and reliable Retail Associate. The Retail Associate will support all retail store operations, focused on customer service, transaction management, and inventory management. The responsibilities detailed below will be conducted under the supervision of and in close collaboration with the Retail Store Manager.

Job Type: Full Time, including at least one weekend day

Compensation: starting at $18-29/hour, contingent on experience

Supervisor: Retail Store Manager

Responsibilities

Retail Store Operations:

• Open and close the store in coordination with Retail Store Manager
• Staff the retail store independently
• Ensure the store is clean, presentable, safe, and welcoming to customers, including cleaning and tidying the interior and exterior of the store each day
• Actively gather and share feedback to continuously improve the performance of the retail store

Customer Service:

• Ensure the best possible experience for all customers interacting with the retail store
• Make it easy and enjoyable for customers to interact with and buy our products
• Assist customers interacting with the Andrew Pearce Bowls website
• Monitor and respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and voicemail
• Resolve customer concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner at the direction of the Retail Store Manager

Retail Transactions:

• Conduct sales, exchanges and refund transactions in person and over the phone
• Monitor online retail orders and prepare orders for shipping in close collaboration with Retail Store Manager and Shipping Department

Inventory and supply:

• Ensure store has appropriate inventory of retail products, contribute to inventory monitoring and planning
• Keep inventory products in good condition
• Contribute to maintenance of the inventory and supply room

Company-Wide Collaboration:

• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment among sales, production and shipping personnel
• Maintain a high degree of professional responsibility with colleagues
• Support shipping and quality control operations as requested by Retail Store Manager
• Collaborate with shipping and production staff on special projects as requested by Retail Store Manager

Requirements:

• At least 1 year retail experience or related customer-focused field
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Professional and welcoming demeanor with colleagues and customers
• Weekend availability
• Physical requirements: ability to move products throughout the store and production facility for up to 8 hours at a time
• Organized, detail oriented, and able to manage time effectively
