What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Supervisor position at Andrew Lauren Interiors?
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. New Project Alert is sent out from the Director of Field Operation to territory Field Manager. Field manager to visit site, take pictures and meet superintendent, get a baseline schedule for hot mopping and cabinet drops. Exchange contact information and verify scope of work. Evaluate site conditions- washout pits, SWIPP, water and power sources and locations.
2. Review installation calendars daily and plan weekly duties accordingly. Notify ALI staff and installers of any changes recognized in field relating to scheduling.
3. Confirm cabinet drop dates, walk each lot to confirm cabinets are ready for templating. Send notice to ALI staff that cabinets are ready for ALS template. Check sinks and back splashes, hoods, edge details etc.- review work orders. Check and confirm substrates are ready and within tolerance for each type of installation.
4. Walk production units daily to ensure correct material and location of installations. Verify installers are using “Best practices” of installation methods. Verify substrates are within tolerance for each type of installation.
5. Verify layout with installers. Verify installed materials are protected. Create list of missing or incomplete items and send out to installers. Notify ALI staff of any shortages- determine cause of shortage. Verify attic stock material left in closet of lot for H/O.
6. Quality walk all lots upon completion and create punch list and pictures, send to installers with a deadline for completion. Send in QC inspection reports upon completion of lot.
7. Conform to each project safety requirements, ensure our subs are conducting weekly tailgate meetings if required by builder. Wear PPE- Everyone where required
8. Submit weekly production status for ALI office staff weekly Monday AM production meeting. Due each Friday end of business.
9. Ensure all ALI Subs employ clean housekeeping practices, remove trash and debris daily.
10. Report all safety hazards to builder superintendents and Pete Williams
11. Be aware of ALI safety practices and code of conduct, IIPP, HIPP. Review and comply with MSDS where applicable and when needed.
12. Vehicle maintenance- Always keep trucks clean and presentable, inside and out.
13. Keep essential hand and power tools straight edge in vehicle
14. Customer service inspections- Give detailed report on c/s request or issue accompany with pictures. Perform repair when at c/s appointment, to include replacing LVP/ wood planks, repair/ re-stretching carpet, if possible with sign off from H/O or builder superintendent. If unable to perform repair, give detailed report and send to ALI c/s rep.
15. VIP, independent measures- Draw a clear and concise plan of work needed with all required measurements for our estimating team on graph paper. Take pictures and define scope of work requested. Thoughtfully take notes and relay any details or possible issues that may come up. Take your time and mentally walk through installation process to ensure you note all details and adverse conditions we may have to navigate so estimating can do their best and capture all costs. Verify substrate prep if possible.
16. VIP and independent installations- 2 site visits daily, report due at the end of each day to appropriate staff and management to update on progress or any issues we need to accommodate or overcome.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Must have flooring installation experience with new housing and/or multifamily housing.
Compensation will be based on experience.
