Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s personal assistive devices
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals
- Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area
- Implement personalized care plans designed by healthcare teams, including dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, autism support, and memory care strategies
- Maintain a safe environment through regular cleaning, infection control practices, and adherence to safety protocols such as CPR and First Aid certification requirements
- Document resident progress accurately in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and assist with record keeping related to patient monitoring and care activities
Skills
- Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings
- Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques and the ability to recognize early signs of health changes or distress
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with residents who have developmental disabilities, dementia, or autism spectrum disorder
- Compassionate caregiving approach combined with patience and active listening skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
