Physical Education (PE) Teacher (Shared between Delwood & Andrew)
Andrew Elementary and Delwood Elementary are two premier PreK-6 grade schools located 13 miles apart in eastern Iowa. Each school shares the same passion to meet the educational needs of the approx 150 students that each building serves.
We are seeking a shared Elementary Physical Education Teacher who will be split between both schools. We are looking for a successful candidate to be able to meet the following job responsibilities:
Instruction: Design and implement daily, engaging, and age-appropriate lesson plans focused on physical development, skill acquisition, and lifetime fitness.
Assessment: Measure student growth in physical ability, cognitive understanding, and social skills (sportsmanship/teamwork).
Safety and Environment: Establish a safe, encouraging, and positive classroom environment, ensuring maximum, inclusive participation for all students.
Curriculum: Integrate Iowa Core Standards in physical education to provide rigorous, well-rounded, and meaningful physical education.
Certification in the area of Physical Education is required for this position. We will consider all high-quality candidates who possess the qualifications to teach Physical Education.
