You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to understand real-world challenges and deliver practical software solutions. This position is based in Richardson, Texas.
The Software Engineering Intern plays a key role in supporting engineering initiatives through critical thinking, problem solving, and hands-on software development.
You Will Make An Impact By
- Software Tool Development: Designing, developing, and enhancing internal software tools used to improve production efficiency and product testing processes. Supporting automation of manual or repetitive tasks to improve accuracy, throughput, and reliability.
- Problem Solving/Critical Thinking: Analyzing production and testing workflows to identify inefficiencies or failure points. Partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Test teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.
- Data & Systems Support: Working with SQL databases to support data collection, querying, analysis, and reporting related to production and test activities. Assisting with tools that integrate software applications with test systems or manufacturing environments.
- Be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or enrolled in Grad School at the time of the internship.
- Have a 3.0 GPA or higher in the U.S. or equivalent in other locations
- Degree in computer science or related technical field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Project management skills required to manage project timelines and meet deliverables.
- SQL database experience (writing queries, working with relational databases).
- Experience with one or more programming languages (ex. C , Java, C#.NET)
- Have experience in visual studio, Linux, or any AI/Machine learning
- Are curious and motivated to learn new technologies
- Are creative in problem-solving with the ability to work independently, think critically, and drive projects forward.
- Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to make informed decisions.
