Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Candidates with experience in industrial mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC, and field service are highly encouraged to apply. Fluency in English and familiarity with schematics, CMMS, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Maintain the interior and exterior of the property.
- Perform light landscaping, snow removal.
- Should be able to lift 50 Lbs., and climb ladders.
- Troubleshoot complex issues using schematics, analysis skills, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems to support manufacturing processes.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to schedule work orders, track maintenance history, and manage inventory.
- Conduct inspections of equipment such as HVAC/R systems, scissor lifts, low voltage electrical systems, high voltage circuits.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Assist with repairs involving welding, HVAC system servicing, electrical troubleshooting, and hydraulic repairs.
- Use precision measuring instruments for alignment and calibration tasks.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols during maintenance activities.
- Support field service operations as needed to ensure continuous plant operation and customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits (including high voltage/low voltage), hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and schematics interpretation.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, and precision measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with industrial electrician practices, field service operations, and the use of diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Background in industrial mechanic work or military experience related to maintenance is highly advantageous.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to effectively troubleshoot issues while maintaining safety standards.
