Overview
Andover Management Group is a growing real estate management company headquartered in downtown Louisville. We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accountant to join our collaborative accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of accounting while helping improve processes and support a growing organization.
General Information
Hours expected per week: 40
Schedule: M–F, in-office, with the opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week after demonstrating proficiency in the role.
Dress: business casual attire
Compensation: $65-70k with bonus potential, based on education & experience level
Direct Supervisor: Financial Controller
Position Requirements
Degree Concentration: Business and/or Accounting, or previous experience with A/P, General Ledger Accounting, Month End Processes
Proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the accounting team.
Have meticulous attention to detail.
Knowledge in AppFolio and/or QuickBooks is a plus.
Experience leveraging technology and AI tools to improve accounting processes is a plus.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Accounts Payable
o Enter invoices into various financial systems
o Match up invoices with remit slips, process and print accompanying check
o Respond to vendor inquiries
o Maintain vendor records, collect COIs and W9s
· General Accounting
o Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, increase efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
o Assist with annual WC and GL audits for multiple policies
o Complete monthly bank reconciliations for assigned entities
o Create month-end journal entries and accruals for assigned entities
o Prepare and review monthly financial statement package for assigned entities
o CAM Recon experience is a plus
· Admin Support
o Create training documents
o Deposit checks at bank, as needed
o Answer phones, as needed
o Keep work area clean and organized
