We are looking for passionate and skilled horticulturists to join our growing team. Our fine gardening team provides expert care for the landscapes we have designed for our residential clients. We have ample opportunities for skill levels: intermediate to senior leadership based on previous working experience combined with licenses, relevant horticultural education and certifications.
About the Role
This is a great opportunity to join an award-winning team of established horticultural professionals. You'll be working outdoors, bringing expert technique to high-end residential landscapes that feature a large variety of beautiful specimens.
Responsibilities
- Execute seasonal garden visit tasks set by the team lead
- Handle edging, mulching, hand pruning, trimming and other garden tasks
- Work efficiently and productively to meet timelines on assigned properties
- Work outdoors in varying conditions and lift heavy materials
- Identify and resolve plant issues
- Safely and proficiently use and maintain a variety of hand and power tools
- Work with a variety of plants and apply the best horticultural practices
- Support landscape construction on new build projects
Qualifications
- 3 years professional working experience in gardening in residential or relevant environments, preferably in zone 6a-6b
- Driver's License
- Reliable transportation to get to and from our shop in Andover
Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work within a crew structure
- Skilled at hand pruning, trimming, mulching, applying organic fertilizer and plant care
- Physically able to work outside in varying conditions
- Ability to lift heavy materials, loading and unloading materials
- Attention to detail
- Friendly and kind disposition
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of drip irrigation
- MCLP, MCH or MNLA, or higher education in arboriculture and or horticulture
